IEEE Egyptian Engineering Day (EED) [2009 - 2014]

The Egyptian Engineering Day is an annual summit that facilitates the opportunity for the best of the engineering graduation projects from all over Egypt to be implemented. Every year, EED features an expo for the graduation projects in the field of engineering from different Egyptian universities. Add to that, a great crowd of visitors to the expo and you get a wonderful recipe for knowledge exchange and constructive assessment of engineering effort done by the students.

    IEEE Alexandria Student Branch (Also, IEEE Alex SB) is a student branch under Alexandria Subsection of Egypt Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The student branch is part of Alexandria University which is the main educational institution under which it operates. Most of the branch members are from Electrical Engineering Dept., and some members are also from Computers and Systems Engineering Dept, and Mechanical Engineering Dept.

    Ensan Project is an initiative to show that Egyptian Youth have the power to make change to their community if given the right guidance and resources. Team Alwan, focused on children in the rural areas in Alexandria and engaged them in a fun and interesting learning process of the modern sciences, physics, biology, ... etc

    Role in the Project:

    Presenting Electricity and Magnetism to young children (6-12 years) in terms of interesting experiments and toys to enrich their understanding of the field.

    Leo Club of Alexandria Apollo [2009 - 2011]

    LEO Club of Alexandria,Egypt has been founded in 1997 from the efforts and contribution of young men and ladies with a vision to develop youth potentials, so that they can take an active interest in the civil, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community. Since 1997, LEO club of Alexandria has hosted over 500 active members, who worked together on a daily basis to create ideas, projects, and a better chance for the poor families , orphans, and those in need in Alexandria and its surrounding cities.

    Highlights in the Club:

  • Volunteered in organizing the "Ana Mawhub (I've got Talent)" concert for disabled and orphan kids (May 2010 and May 2011)
  • Volunteered in organizing "Basketball Summer League in Alexandria" in Sep 2010 to raise money for blood transfusion machines.
  • Volunteered in organizing "Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign" in 2011 for women in Alexandria.
